Hello everyone. Chilling here at good old C2K and watching the snow coming down outside. We managed to make a venture to Safeway and stocked up the cabin with most of Kramer's list:
Matchbooks
Tea
Coffee
Dish soap
Gatorade
Toilet Paper
Paper Towels
lots of recent Wall Street Journals for the fireplace
So, come on up soon and witness the firepower of this fully armed and operational Tahoe cabin.
[You may snowboard at will, commander.]

PS - We realized on the way home that we left half a Zano's Pizza in the refrigerator. If anyone goes up this week, enjoy. If not, please throw it out.
We went up to Tahoe for the first weekend and just got back last night - hooray for the Cabin! There was enough snow for snowshoeing, though right now it looks like we're going to have to wait for another week and a half for a good snow dump.
I'm not sure when the next time people are heading up to our beloved Donner Lake abode, but so far the kitchen is relatively bare. Here are a couple of things that people might want to grab on the way up to the Cabin, in addition to everyday essentials (e.g. food):
Dish detergent - there's just a smidge left
Firewood and kindling
Old newspapers (to help start fires)
Matchbooks
Coffee – There's currently only an old can of Folgers
Tea
Powdered Gatorade
Toilet Paper - as always, a precious commodity
Paper Towels
... and everyone's favorite:
Liquor (there's only a small bottle of vermouth. Martinis, anyone?)
Beer (there's exaclty one bottle of Moosehead in the fridge, courtesy of Dunagan)
Hope to see eveyone up there soon!

I just checked out the Alpine Meadows website. It appears they have a new "iRide" program where you can save $16 for every three lift tickets. Could be useful for the alpine regulars.

I talked to Don the cabin owner last week, and he's up for having us back for the 2006/2007 season! So I'll be kicking things off soon to hone in on 20 friends who want to share this great winter experience with each other. Can't wait for winter!
The Sketchbook has been a living history of the madness and fun of C2K since day one. Some of the entries and drawings make me laugh out loud every time I pick up the book. The Sketchbook's always up at the cabin if you feel like putting pen to paper.
To complement the Sketchbook, welcome to the Sketchblog. Next time you're back at your desk, dreaming about your last awesome weekend up at the cabin, take a minute to check in and jot down your favorite memory from the weekend or post a pic from the slopes or the cabin. I'll make sure everyone gets an invitation to be a contributing author for this blog.
The blog homepage (http://www.outward.in/c2k) will replace the Yahoo! group from the days of yore, so check in here for the group contact list, highway 80 webcams, directions to the cabin and other useful bits of info.
Here's to C2K Eight!
